Directional Drilling

Directional drilling is a widely applied technique used extensively by the gas, water, telecoms and electricity industries, for the installation of small to medium diameter pipes and ducts on straight and curved alignments.

By using our fleet of steerable direction drilling rigs, we can support the quick and effective installation of single or multi pipes and ducts from 25mm to 900mm in diameter, via the creation of precise and controlled bore through which final product pipes(s) are pulled.

Environmental sensitivity are two words that are never far from our mind, and we pride ourselves on offering a service that always seeks to minimise landscape impact during the drilling process.

Directional drilling is quick, efficient and cost-effective, avoiding disruption to surface infrastructure or services, with a relatively small overall industrial footprint.

It is also a cost-effective and time saving alternative to open cut methods when installing pipes amidst extensive underground infrastructure, or at significant depths, with reduced requirements for possessions, road closures, working hours and premium rate working.

Pipework and cables can also be installed in either a straight or curved alignment to help avoid underground complications and services. Perfect for use beneath items such as roads, various watercourses, railways, runways and taxiways, embankments and bunds.
